BLK Sport is growing its support of tennis in Australia by dressing all staff and officials at both theBrisbane International presented by Suncorp and the Sydney International in 2018.

All staff, umpires, ballkids and volunteers will be fitted out with BLK technical apparel for both week-long tournaments, a significant wardrobe change in time for Brisbane’s tenth event.

“Our support of the whole team that make these two brilliant tournaments a reality is a fantastic way for BLK to start our year,” Chief Operations Officer of BLK Sport Shannon Moore said.

“We know how much hard work goes into international tournaments of this calibre and we look forward to seeing our hard work on display in Brisbane and Sydney.”

Moore revealed BLK’s move to support tennis is part of the company’s long-term strategy to invest evenly across men’s and women’s sport.

“BLK and the team at Tennis Australia have been able to align our goals very neatly in these arrangements, and we look forward to providing a great suite of apparel to both the tennis fan and tournament staff,” he said.

“We are looking forward to being shown on a global stage alongside some of the biggest stars in world sport.”

Brisbane International Tournament Director Cameron Pearson believes it is significant to have a new look and a new partner in place for the tenth edition of the tournament.

“We are delighted to be welcoming BLK Sport on board as a partner for our anniversary event, it’s a real chance to celebrate the milestone with a new look representing the tournament on and off the court,” Pearson said.

“We welcome the company’s BLK’s long-term strategic decision to support tennis, a sport that offers equal reward and opportunity for male and female athletes, while encouraging diversity and inclusion across all levels of ability and interest.”

Fans won’t miss out in 2018, with merchandise tailored for Australia’s summer of tennis available for purchase at both events, including the ever-popular tournament towels.
