What did you enjoy most about your off-season?
The best thing was to spend time with family and friends, a lot of time actually in Germany and also Poland.
Would you rather holiday at the beach or in the mountains?
The beach, definitely. I love the sun and the warm weather and the sea.
Who is your favourite artist/band?
Lena Fischer, she’s a German band so I don’t think you’d know her. Then I like the charts, the top music.
What is your favourite movie?
I saw a movie on the plane here with Scarlett Johansson. That was my last movie, it was really great and I’d definitely recommend seeing it.
Is there anything you’d like to do that your tennis career prevents you from doing?
Not really, no (laughs).
In your experience, who is the funniest player on tour?
I think there are a lot of funny players. I am good friends with Andrea Petkovic. I think she is talking a lot and you can laugh with her for sure.
Growing up, who was your favourite tennis player?
Steffi Graf. She is my idol, she is German and she won everything. She’s a legend of the game.
If you could play another sport professionally what would it be?
I like football but I don’t think I’d play football. Hockey or maybe swimming, because I swum when I was young in some tournaments.
If you could trade places with someone for a day, who would it be?
Maybe Steffi? I don’t know, maybe to change with somebody who is an actor. Perhaps Julia Roberts.
Do you have a New Year’s resolution?
My New Year’s resolution is to be healthy and to try to enjoy every single moment and have fun off court and on court. Try to improve my game and have a great 2015.
