29 December 2011, by Brisbane International Tennis

Brisbane International tennis fans can now follow the tennis action on the go with the launch today of the new brisbaneinternational.com.au mobile website: http://m.brisbaneinternational.com.au/

The new mobile site displays draws, scores, scheduling, news, player profiles and tweet feeds in a compact design tailored for smart phones.

“Our aim is to give fans every opportunity to follow tennis from their preferred technology platform,” said Tennis Australia chief executive Steve Wood.

“We want everyone to have the easiest access possible so they can connect and engage with all our events.”

The site was developed for fans to easily access all of the activities going on at the tournament, including daily schedules, player profiles, updated draws, stadium map, social media posts and more.

“The Australian Open Series events are among a select group of professional tennis tournaments worldwide to have a fully functional mobile website for their fans,” said Andrew Machota, President of MRA Media Group, who developed the sites for Tennis Australia.

“We’re excited to provide such a powerful solution that is capable of reaching all fans, regardless of what kind of smart phone they own.”

Fans can also connect with the Brisbane International via Twitter (@brisbanetennis) and Facebook (facebook.com/BrisbaneInternational) and access unique video content on the tournament website and the Brisbane International YouTube channel.
