Would you like to be a part of one of Brisbane’s biggest sporting events?
We are looking for dedicated and enthusiastic individuals with a diverse range of skills and experience to volunteer for Brisbane international 2011 in the following areas:
- Court Services: deliver on-court supplies and service by preparing match and practice courts with towels, water, drinks and umbrellas
- Statisticians: assist with recording live results, match statistics, speed serve radar results and match analysis
- Ushers: first point of contact for the public as they enter the Queensland Tennis Centre, providing general assistance throughout the venue, including inside Pat Rafter Arena and show courts
- Tournament Runners: providing general assistance to all tournament departments with supplies to offices, volunteers and officials
- Information Services staff: providing general and tournament related information to members of the public, and coordinating tennis-based interactive activities in the Interactive Zone.
Volunteers must be fully available during the entire tournament period (27 December 2010 to 11 January 2011) and need to attend a compulsory Tournament Staff Launch. Also, accreditation and uniform collection is scheduled for 4/5 December 2010.
Transport
We are also looking for individuals to volunteer as drivers for Brisbane International 2011. This role involves transporting players, guests and officials between official hotels, Brisbane Airport and the Queensland Tennis Centre.
* All applicants please be aware that group interviews may be required for some volunteer roles. These interviews will take place in October 2010 if required (dates TBC).
As a volunteer you will be provided with the following benefits:
